DPRK ADVANCES UNDER THE SONGUN MODE OF POLITICS
This year the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea will celebrate its 60th anniversary of its foundation in grand style as this is an event of epochal significance.
Today the DPRK stands imposingly as the fortress of independence,bastion of socialism and motherland of Juche.It is the cradle of the Korean peoples happiness and the fountainhead of true Korean nationhood. All this is due to the outstanding leadership of the great leader generalissimo Kim Il Sung the sun of the nation and the great leader supreme commander Marshal Kim Jong Il.
The DPRK was founded on September 9th due to the unstinting efforts of the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung,its foundation reflecting the will of the entire Korean people to found an independent state.The great leader President Kim Il Sung who had led the Korean people to victory in the 20 year long anti Japanese armed struggle led the Korean people to carry out a complex 2 stage social revolution as well as leading the Fatherland Liberation war to victory in the early 50s.
Socialism was built in the DPRK not in ideal conditions but on the debris of war. A shining model of socialism came into being.Not only was the war damage healed in a short period and the economy recovered but socialist transformation was carried out at lighting speed with the result that a most advanced people centred socialist system of a Korean style came into being in the land of the 3,000ri.
Massive achievements were made in the economy,culture,science and the like. Korean people came to enjoy the benefits of free education,free health care,full employment and even taxation was abolished(which seems like an impossible dream in the West where tax increases all the time).Korea people came to live in a socialist paradise and the people of the world hailed the DPRK as the “model state of socialism”.
Towards the end of the 1980s and early 1990s a number of socialist coutries collapsed due to abnormal developments whereby anti socialist revisionist traitors destroying their socialist systems from within.Thus the DPRK was standing only against the onslaught of the international imperialist allied forces led by US imperialism In 1994 the Korean people suffered their worst misfortune in 5,000 when the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung died suddenly on the 8th of July.It was indeed a bolt from the blue.
The loss of the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung who had been the father of socialist Korea was indeed very painful. To make matters worse the DPRK suffered a number of natural disasters which created problems.The US imperialists and international reactionaries percieved their chance to destroy the DPRK the bastion of socialism and fell upon the DPRK from all directions.They increased further the political and diplomatic pressure and economic sanctions upon the DPRK and overtly threatened her with updated military equipments and large armed forces.Things came to a critical stage.The DPRK was at the crossroads.
The question was whether to be a slave of imperialism or to live independently. Pressure by the imperialists and others will being piled incessantly on the DPRK.Some people in countries following the US tried to tell the DPRK to adopt “new policies”.Leader Kim Jong Il declared “expect no change from me”.
On January 1st 1995 he went to the Tabaksol army post,an anti aircraft unit of the KPA and outlined the policy of giving priority to the army which became known as the Songun policy.Leader Kim Jong Il keenly felt that the way to smash the US imperialists and their allies attempts to stifle the DPRK by force was to meet it with force,the force of the Korean Peoples Army ,the invincible revolutionary armed forces of the WPK and the Korean people.He made the KPA the pillar and main force of the Korean revolution.
This was the great declaration of his faith and will to completely fulfil the cause President with the mode of Songun politics giving priority to military affairs than any other fields and other parts, and more strengthening the armed force than any other groups of the society.
On- the-spot-guidance of leader Kim Jong Il to the Tabaksol post made Songun politics, a new political mode unknown to the world embodied all society and reliably defended the destiny of the country and the nation and socialism in this world dominated by US imperialist unliateralism and opened a new prelude of the political mode to successfully implement the independent cause of the human kind. As the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il said “the Songun based revolutionary line is a great revolutionary line of our era and an ever victorious banner of our revolution.In the Songun-based revolution lie the building of a great prosperous and powerful nation and the victorty of the revolutionary cause of Juche”
The DPRK has defeated the attempts of the US imperialists to stifle and has faced it down on all front.Great achievements have been made in different fields particularly in the fields of defence and the economy
.Songun Korea under the helmanship of great leader comrade Kim Jong Il and true to the memory of President Kim Il Sung is hewing out a proud path of independence that is an example to the people of the world.
