The International Korean Business Centre, with headquarters in Pyongyang and overseas offices, organizes an exclusive BUSINESS TRIP to the DPR of Korea (North Korea) from 13th April to 20th April 2010. The Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, high ministry of the Republic in charge of international exchange including business, will host and facilitate visit to factories and meetings with commerce officials in charge of your professional area.
All passports are invited to apply except for: U.S.A., Republic of Korea (South Korea) and Japan due to special protocol in bilateral relations.
The number of visitors is limited to 10. Participants in the delegation will be accepted according to their order of arrival (pre-subscription), and after clearing all details and conditions.
Participants will be accompanied during the entire visit by Special Delegate of the DPRK Government Mr. Alejandro Cao de Benos, who is also President of the IKBC. A welcome dinner will be hosted by the Ministry with the participation of its Director.
Previous to the trip, we’ll offer an introduction to Korean customs and business approach.

IKBC has successfully lead to conclusion of contracts with first class companies from Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Thailand, Australia, Arab Emirates and other countries in the fields of shipbuilding, garment manufacturing, IT programming, film animation, mining, food stuff production, electronics, arts & crafts, etc.
Since business visits started on 2007, an average of 80% of the companies introduced by IKBC signed contracts with DPRK counterparts.
ITINERARY
12 APRIL 2010 (MONDAY)
At 08.00am, Meeting at designated hotel in Beijing for administrative procedures (preparation of North Korean Visas, Air Koryo flights and organization).
Free day in Beijing
At 20.00pm, Visas and flight tickets will be delivered to each participant, followed by an explanation of tips and advices for the trip.
Night: 3*** Hotel in city centre of Beijing
(Next to Tiananmen and central shopping area)
13 APRIL 2010 (TUESDAY)
A bus will bring us from our hotel to Beijing airport.
The delegation departs from Beijing to Pyongyang by national airline AIR KORYO
The visitors will stay 8 days in the DPRK, based in the Pyongyang KORYO HOTEL, 4 **** and best in the country.
The hotel offers overseas call, international fax, e-mail service, meeting rooms, convenience shop, book shop, restaurants, sauna, swimming pool, and other facilities.

NOT POSSIBLE THE USE OF INTERNET BROWSING IN THE DPRK
General information will be provided from DPRK experts, Ministry of Foreign Trade in the economic, law, transportation and banking areas as well as a general view of import/export/investment possibilities.
According to your area of business interest we’ll schedule private meetings with related officials of the state companies where you can have discussions, negotiations, request samples or even sign LOI’s and contracts on-the-spot.
In some occasion we will have official meetings or visits that will require formal dressing.
While not engaged in meetings, during your stay we will facilitate visits to the main monuments and touristic places of the capital as well as factories and companies.
It is possible to offer a special gift from your country, company or organization to the Leaders. Please write to korea@korea-dpr.com with picture and details of the gift before 8 MARCH 2010 and we'll arrange a personal meeting with a protocol representative of the DPRK Government.

Inside the DPRK we'll have doctors and hospitals at your disposal 24 hours.
The total amount of the trip will be paid in Beijing in our meeting on 12 APRIL.
(Only accepted cash and EURO currency). Receipt will be provided.

STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS (HOW TO APPLY?)
1.
PRE-INSCRIPTION PROCESS.
Access the webpage http://www.korea-dpr.com/travel.htm
and fill the online pre-inscription form.
This pre-inscription form doesn't require any fee and can be cancelled any moment informing the other side of the reasons.
2.
Wait for confirmation. A reference number will be assigned.
3.
BEFORE 8 MARCH 2010
After receiving the reference number, access the webpage:
http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/ema/index-outside
and pay 750 EURO per person to the e-mail korea@korea-dpr.com with any major credit card by using the online system. This amount will be discounted from the total price specified before.
Alternatively you can send the fee by INTERNATIONAL BANK TRANSFER. Please request details to korea@korea-dpr.com
At this point your air ticket and hotel room will be reserved and the DPRK visa processed.
If you decide to cancel the trip, the 750 euro won't be returned since they'll be used to cover all the cancellations and administrative expenses.
If for any reason your DPRK visa is denied or a major problem force us to cancel the trip, the 750 euro will be returned.
THIS TRIP HAS LIMITED SEATS THAT WILL BE STRICTLY GIVEN TO THE FIRST 10 CONFIRMED RESERVATIONS.
4.
We'll send an acknowledgment of the receipt of your money.
Then, book by yourself the flight tickets from your country to Beijing.
Also approach your nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate and request a
DOUBLE-ENTRY Visa for the dates that you’ll be travelling.
5.
You'll receive details and timing of our hotel and meeting place in
Beijing, where we'll all gather.
NOTES:
Any participant that won't follow the regulations of the DPRK will be
treated accordingly to its national law.
Any participant that won’t follow the IKBC advices and indications will be expelled from the delegation without possibility of refund.
Credit Cards (Visa, AMEX, Master Card) are widely accepted in China for shopping, but cannot be used in the DPRK.
Chinese ATM only dispenses YUAN RENMIMBI Currency. It’s not possible to withdraw EURO.
You should bring along with you two colour passport-sized pictures for the DPRK Visa.
Articles not allowed in the DPRK:
Video-Camera, Plants, animals, drugs, explosives, weapons, any kind of
pornography, mass printed propaganda, radio, wireless or satellite
communicator (GPS), PDA phone, mobile phone (can be left at airport locker).
Articles allowed in the DPRK:
Photo-camera (analog or digital), laptop (without GPS/GPRS/3G communication devices), PDA, CD Player, MP3, PDA without phone.
Other articles may be inspected by the immigration authorities.
FAST REMINDER OF DEADLINES:
PRE-INSCRIPTION ENDS ON 8 MARCH 2010. People that didn't pre-inscribe aren't eligible to participate.
8 MARCH 2010 also ends the FULL inscription process. People that haven't provided all the data/requirements or the 750 euro inscription fee won't be able to participate.
