| Songun
politics of north Korea which defeats imperialism with the thoroughgoing
anti-imperialist class stand
(June 10, 2005)
1. Preface
Nowadays the north Korea-US showdown gets acuter.
The confrontation between north Korea which represents the independent
interests of its people and the nation and the US representing the
interests of a handful of monopolistic capitalists features the
main character of the north Korea-US showdown.
The Songun politics of north Korea is a mode of politics based
on a clear analysis of the class character of this confrontation.
2. The reactionary nature of aggressive, plundering and malformed
imperialism
Imperialism is a reactionary political, military and economic system
formed in the final stage of development of capitalism.
Imperialism is of aggressive nature since it readily launches wars
against other countries and nations and colonizes many countries
for the sake of its monopolistic interests.
It is of plundering nature since it realizes its monopolistic interests
by extorting the colonial excess profits in the colonial and semi-colonial
countries and imposing the unfair trade on the undeveloped nations.
It is also of malformed nature since it pursues the development
of imbalanced economic structure in which it concentrates the capital
on certain fields for the maximized profits, and the decadent production
and demand.
The imperialist aggressive theory on military affair believes in
the omnipotence of power.
Imperialism usually resorts to power to implement its interests
and needs.
The wretched human rights situation prevails in the US now.
The social inequality is as severe as 36 million to 41 million
Americans are starving and those who need the gratuitous ration
mount up to 21 million throughout the US.
Even the older have to arm themselves with guns to defend their
lives and more than 300 cases of execution are carried out annually
in the US.
It’s ridiculous for such the US to talk about human rights
problem but it pressurizes north Korea and attacks China under the
pretext of human rights issue.
It is none other than the US which deploys some 300,000 troops
throughout the world and spends the military budget to the tune
tantamount to that of the world’s countries combined.
Civilian service employees produce Tomahawk missiles, build military
facilities and guard the military installations.
This reality reveals the imperialist nature which regards the military
capabilities as the main resort and to what extent the US society
has become militarized.
The US monopolistic capital consolidates the monopolistic structure
centered on the five specific domains; military, energy, finance,
ultramodern information and food works.
In conclusion, imperialism features the aggressive, plundering
and malformed nature and that gets more pronounced. For that reason
imperialism has no future of development.
3. Songun politics of north Korea with transparent anti-imperialist
class outlook
Songun politics of north Korea has the transparent anti-imperialist
class outlook.
It is, first of all, a transparent anti-imperialist conscience
that it cannot coexist with the imperialists. It is the lesson north
Korea learnt from the June 25 Korean War that imperialism must not
exist for the independence to be realized.
Secondly, the transparent anti-imperialist class outlook of the
Songun politics is a strong volition to deal with the imperialists
in reliance on power.
The process to establish the Songun politics in north Korea was
aimed never to kneel down to the US imperialists but to overcome
them.
To this end north Korea prepared defensive and offensive posture
to cope with the US nuclear attack and build up economy and defense
side by side.
In the meantime the Songun politics is not aimed at strengthening
the military and technical capacity only.
The might of winning the fight against imperialists who put up
the material superiority lies on the strength of the Songun whole
to safeguard independence and the strong military, political and
diplomatic abilities based on the strength of the Songun whole.
The dialogue with imperialists is based on strength and eventually
it is a war in the diplomatic field.
There is neither concession nor compromise with the imperialists
and we should realize our independent demands without fail relying
on the strength of Songun; this is north Korea’s stand.
Lastly, the transparent anti-imperialist class outlook is an offensive
spirit to wage a do-or-die struggle with the imperialists with whom
we must grapple after all.
The death-defying determination not to fear the fight with the
imperialists is precisely the offensive anti-imperialist class spirit
of the Songun politics.
The anti-imperialist class spirit of the Songun politics is of
offensive character.
It is an offensive spirit that we cannot be an onlooker in front
of the bayonets of imperialists but desperately grapple with them
and the enemy dies but we triumph.
4. Conclusion
The outlook on imperialism brooks no midway.
There is only victory or surrender in the struggle against imperialism.
That the Songun politics is almighty is attributable to its thoroughgoing
class principle and transforming it into reality.
The patriotic south Koreans should know the transparent anti-imperialist
class spirit of the Songun politics, a treasure common to our nation,
study and digest it. |
